About the event
The Longboat Roadrunners was established in 1980 and is one of Toronto’s top running clubs. Our logo is the ‘flying feather’ and we run to honour our namesake, Tom “Wildfire” Longboat – a member of the Onondaga Nation from the Six Nations of the Grand River and one of Canada’s top distance runners.
Join us for our 40th anniversary and come to the Toronto Islands for the perfect family day race!Both the 5 km and the 10 km distances follow a scenic route along Centre Island and are flat all the way – great for your next PB, or for first timers.
The race is a true family-friendly event, with races for the kids, followed by lunch on us. All participants will receive a ticket for our post-race BBQ, in additional to a finishers medal and race shirt.
